Easton Collage and Marybelle collaborate to educate at the Suffolk Show!
Want to know more about the dairy cows at the Suffolk Show...... stop by the show barns and see Easton Collage and Marybelle's display next to the milking parlour.
Every year at the Suffolk Show the public queue to get a look at the beautiful cows in the show barns. Unfortunately due to health and safety regulations there are only certain times that people are able to wander through the barns. So James Strachan, of Marybelle, decided that we needed to do something about this. Although we can't open the barns up, he thought, we can bring more information outside for people to see.
So after meeting with the Suffolk Show comittee, it was decided that Marybelle could have a stand at the end of the show barn, next to the milking parlour. Within the stand there will be Little Mary and Baby Belle (two baby calves from the rendham and Rapid Bay herds at Marybelle). There will also be information about the journey of milk, with free leaflets and stickers.
However, through discussions it was thought that this would not be enough. So on top of all of that Easton Collage have decided that they will join forces with Marybelle to help educate about the cows, and really what does happen in a day in the life of a Marybelle cow!
We really hope that anyone visitng the show will find this a useful addition and we will value any feedback from those attending the show!
We think it is going to be a great event this year, although for us it couldn't get much better than last year! Look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.
